HAROLD “BUTCH” GORDON – PRESIDENT
Butch Gordon has spent his life working in the construction industry. After service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he began construction employment as a laborer, advancing to supervisor for a large construction company in Chicago, Illinois. He, then was employed overseas as a construction superintendent before returning home to the White Earth Indian Reservation to start his own company. Gordon Construction was incorporated in 1983 with six employees. Today Gordon Construction employs over 75 employees, some of whom are seasonal. Butch is married to Gladys Gordon and is the father of three children.
Butch has been instrumental in guiding Gordon Construction, Inc. through their 35 years of successful business operations. Contract oversight and overall operations are his focus. With his several years of military, metropolitan, and overseas construction Butch has developed a keen sense of diplomacy. This learned and developed trait, along with the aid of his Native American origin, has enabled him in his success in facilitating Indian progress. Indian benefits provided by the White Earth Tribal Employment Rights Office have been advanced with the influence of the standards as established by Gordon Construction, Inc. Butch understands and adapts well to the cultural challenges associated with the modern business climate.
GLADYS GORDON – SECRETARY/TREASURER
Gladys Gordon helped establish Gordon Construction with her husband, Butch. After retiring from a successful nursing career, Gladys now oversees office and clerical matters. Gladys is married to Butch Gordon and is the mother of three children.
MATT GORDON – VICE-PRESIDENT/DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Matt has 25-year tenure with Gordon Construction, Inc. as field operations manager. He attended North Dakota State College of Science in Civil Engineering. Along with his experience in commercial building, Matt has experience in highway heavy construction. Matt is currently managing the day to day operations of Gordon Construction. Matt also is an enrolled member of the White Earth Minnesota Chippewa Tribe.
AL SAARINEN – BUILDING ESTIMATOR
Al has been involved with construction over 40 years with the past 28 plus years on staff with Gordon Construction, Inc. His hands-on experience in most every aspect of construction has served well as a site superintendent and more recently as project manager. Al has been the lead estimator for Gordon Construction for the past 17 years. His knowledge and work ethic make him an asset to any project of which he is involved.
ROBERT BJORGE – CONCRETE SUPERINTENDENT / ESTIMATOR
Robert has been in the concrete industry for the past 25 years, and has been with Gordon’s the past 15 years as the Concrete Superintendent. His day to day duties include crew management, estimating, responsible for layout of buildings, footings, slabs, and sidewalks.
BILL TOLLEFSON – CIVIL ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER
Bill has 39 years of construction experience and has multiple certification including OSHA 30, USACE QC Training, and Pipeline Stewardship.
